i finally went off road!

Post by subie_1st_timer » Sun Mar 23, 2008 9:59 am

well, i finally popped my offroad cherry on good friday and had a bloody ball!

we took the brumby into medowie state forrest and some of the tracks were worse than i thought and all mud and clay cause of the rain but the brumby took everything awesome!!
even found its way out of the mud with only std road rubber so i was quite impressed and especially with stock ride height, so was my mate in his T/D courier which, the subie saved twice mind you and it has 31' AT's and a bit more clearence than my little truck so as you maybe able to tell i now cant wait to get the thing lifted and the bigger rubber and really have some more fun!
We had to call it quits early tho as my mate blew out a tyre, and took us ages to get the wheel off the ground cause of the jack sinking in the mud all the time so by the time we got him goin again was time to get into the warmth and get some beers!!

anyway just thought id share my 1st time, im now hooked and cant wait to tackle the beach and also go out and find more mud! i still cant get the grin off my face, high hp musclecars are fun:), but offroad its another fun all together:D simply cant wait to get out again.

before i do i really gotta get a few things done now like my wheel bearings, new rotors / pads / shoes etc cause they a bit noisier from it all and the radiator could use a flush and clean cause she got a little bit hotter than normal but not into the red but rather not run the risk... anyway...

take it easy everyone, happy easter

Someone just got bitten...

And i'm itching for even a small bit of off road action, I have not been off road since i was on the powerline track with the WA boys... Its been a long time between drinks :(

Glad you love the brumby off road, hope she does you proud in the future too.

Cheers

been a long time since ive had a chance to enjoy a car, my XA falcon has been off the road for over 3yrs now and really bums me out cause we got so many $$$ to go, but the brumby offers me dirty cheap fun... best investment ive made and i love it.
