those storms they had really messed up double island.

this photo is looking left towards rainbow beach from the base of the leisha track AT DEAD LOW TIDE!

to get to rainbow you have to drive through 2 foot of water even at low tide.

the eastern beach is also very damaged. coffee rock is exposed in 3 places north of the 3rd cutting and the beach is noticeable narrower. with the long weekend traffic it was quite dangerous in places and anyone who was a bit impatient heading south ended up out in the salt.

The errosion has also shown up the base of the cherry venture wreck, and I reckon quite a few people will have staked a tyre on the metal sticking out.

the coppers were out in force booking wankers doing doughnuts amongst the traffic. it was actually good to see them for a change as the beach was far too busy for hooning.

A few months of fine weather and the sand should be back.Although all the groins south of here have stopped the normal migration of sand so that has definitely had something to do with it.

Went up Sunday the 4th of may to hook into a few tailor- beach is looking better already mate
