I warned about this ages ago. Looks like enough people didn't take the time to fill in the petition and send it off.

Dead set wankers.

$297 if you want a permit for Fraser and DI for a year. Add in $108 each for Bribie, Straddie and Moreton and you are looking at over $600 in fees just to drive on the sand. Add on some camping fees and you will be getting close to $1000 for a family for a few weeks away. That is before you pay any barge fees, or fuel.

Gone are the days when a trip to the beach was for the not-so-well-off people. Camping was meant to be the cheap style of holiday for the average working family.
