brisbane wreckers thread

Post by buddah » Tue Mar 17, 2009 10:52 pm

just thought I'd start a queensland wreckers thread, cos there wasn't one.

Was at boss wreckers tingalpa today lookin for 84 wagon bits. They used to have a couple, but they've crushed em!!

Instead I saw an rx turbo, in poor shape but in one piece most bits there.

and an 84 coupe luxury pack? (correct term? lectric windows, digi dash etc.) in excellent condition minus gearbox and diff.

Anyone know of some wagons round?

:D

Missing a diff was it? :-D

I like Boss Wrecking - particulary for the fact you can walk in, have a look around, and get what you want yourself.

They are always getting Subarus - so it's worth going back and checking.

Not sure about the rx, didn't look underneath.

Yeah I like down there for the same reason, I will keep an eye out down there an see if one turns up. I'm just after a front passenger door.

You know what, I don't know :???: noob, possibly not

The gearbox was gone and when I quickly looked under there was no trans or diff, so I assumed someone had taken it. Didn't even occur to me that it was 2wd. stupid

85 (?) Rx turbo sedan

It was in poor shape, but most bits were there. Didn't look closely just wondered past. Interior was mostly all there, not in great condition tho. I think the block was there, possibly manifold etc missing. But as I said I just wondered passed, didn't look in close detail.

That's a Barry (crocker shocker)!!! Those LSD's are a sort after item, I know in Vic it'd be gone by now and if it wasn't you'd be stupid not to grab it - provided it was an LSD...

Sounds like a good place this one!

Cheers

Thought I would tag this on the end here'

I am after L series control arms (see add)

But went to wreckers here in Toowoomba. I saw a liberty with EJ22 motor complete ,no g/box (Anzac Avenue wreckers) has 1 L series with front end smash, couple of MY wagons. Liberty has good interior seats etc. It is a walk around pick your own part place,

South West 4x4 wreckers in Toowoomba.

Went there to do some business there and asked what have they got. Apparently have 4 brumbies in stock if anyone is looking for anything. Its one of those places that you get to the counter and that's as far as you go buddy. Computer says 4 brumbies in stock on site.

Thanks Jan, Sorry it's a bit out of my way as I'm in Brisbane ... ;)

I'm not looking for anything specific just at the moment but if anybody does go there, you'll have to let us know what they have ... :)
