my bribie trip
well it was my first beach trip with my 87 RX and it was pretty good. car had no problems going where i wanted it to go. had plenty of looks by all the poser 4wd owners with their $50k things that certainly dont get $47k more 4wd than my rx, well certainly in terms of 4wd capability.
the only issue was a bit of overheating while driving in the soft sand at high tide, but otherwise it was fine. i've attached a couple of pics for your enjoyment. yep that's me driving, and my son in the passenger seat having an absolute ball. i cant promise the deep tracks on the sand are not mine

Always love it when you go by a "real" 4wd that is having trouble, even better when you ask them if they want help lol lol:twisted:twilightprotege wrote: had plenty of looks by all the poser 4wd owners with their $50k things that certainly dont get $47k more 4wd than my rx, well certainly in terms of 4wd capability.

Yeah, can't wait to get mine in the soft stuff, looks great, I've been in China for the past month so haven't had a chance to get it off road yet, someone should organise a trip to Wedge or something though I'd rather get the bash plate, roo bar & hi/lo box with LSD in first.
