I like the reminder

A STOP sign means that all wheels of your vehicle must come to a complete halt.

"HALT ! Who goes there? " is about the only time in my life I have heard the word halt used anywhere, anytime. Why is it not called a HALT sign? Why use halt and stop to mean the same thing? Legal speak? A magistrate once told me he had a customer report that the police officer issuing a fine in this regard told motorist he had to count to five before moving on. I prefer some sort of timing used in the Olympics, STOP for 1/100th of a second. Did you see that? Maybe fog lights should have a fog sensor?

As somebody said on another forum "so sliding up to the line with all 4 wheels locked up" qualifies as being stopped".

I like the one about the lap dogs the oldies and the yuppies will be most upset.

I drive a truck and i would see at least 20 dogs on peoples laps a day.

I find it a little strange that its illegal to drive in fine weather with the foggies on, in norway i beleive it's actually illegal to drive without your lights on.

strange rules.

Different sorts of lights for different jobs. Fog lights shit me no end, especially the ill-designed but very bright ones on lots of late model cars.

That law has been in place in other states for at least several years.

your very obviously not the only one.

Try this,

drive to a dark location, switch your driving lights OFF, and switch your fog lights ON.
Where is the light spread ?

All over, right?, and the newer fog lights present very bright light points.
Easily blinds annoys oncoming traffic....

They are FOG lights.

Norway have poor light conditions very often, can't compare our average conditions with Norway.
They would also have daylight running light mode, this is running the lights at lower output........

the $40 fine is not enough:evil:

Yarney, is that what you truck drivers are looking for, lap dogs? If there is a truck around while stopped I usually look up - to see the driver looking down - straining the eye sight sometimes. If you only see 20 dogs a day, how many laps do you see?

About time they did something about the fog lights, lets hope the cops start booking people.
