Pick 'N Payless Self Serve Wreckers Blacktown...

Post by smoov » Tue Jun 13, 2006 4:51 pm

Although notorious for being crapola for their subaru parts, they appear to have a new addition for the wrecking!!

It appears to be a later model L series White Touring Wagon with Fuel Injection. At the moment, its yet to be sorted to its appropriate Subaru aisle, its just around the corner from the fenced off area and portaloo.

Under the bonnet, there is no motor, but it does appear that it is all in the back. It has roofracks, and interior (blue chequered) appears to be in VGC (albeit engine and gearbox that are now residing in there). Also there is a boss kit sitting on the steering column, with no sports steering wheel.

All switch gear (being a tourer, its has all the leccy stuff) appears to be in great nic. Panels all appear to be in good nic also.

Just a heads up to the NSW brotheren interested in getting parts! Remember, PNP are very reasonable with their pricing of parts!

Don't forget your tools!! :P

what do you think i am, stupid?? i know how rare these are!!!

i'd be the first to snap it up, and resell it here for a 3000% profit!!!!!

LOL

i'm kidding, and no, there weren't any. :(

Chris - Sorry, didn't look under, but i'm assuming its OK, most of these cars when put onto their aisles, they are sat on steel wheels to keep the wheels suspended in mid air, thus damaging aprons and whatnot. Since this hasn't been suspended yet, and still on its wheels, Im guessing its still OK...

I can't even figure out why that wagon is in there. Its basically straight.
I'm looking at gettign the bonnet off it this weekend, so I'll investigate the apron issue for you Chris.

Has anyone been out to the other Pickies at Ingleburn?
Is it better/worse than the Blacktown one?

Oh yeah & seeing as its an EFI, there is the bracket on the tilt adjustable steering column for the ECU (which is gone)

The EFI fuel tank is still there (or was 2 weekends ago), pump was gone.

Oh, & the engine in the back was an EA82T, which I think was in the car because the engine crossmember has been brutalised around where the exhaust goes back up.

Now watch the vultures descend

I heard from somewhere that Pickies at Ingleburn has closed down...

can anyone confirm?

dang... didn't see the EA82T. Was scouring for corona parts myself...

It was a mighty straight tourer, but I think it had some severe cancer on the driver's side windshield surround?

I think it's 9-5 everyday.

Prices are always very good, especially if it's covered in oil!
