Ok, as the title suggests.

Anyone got anything to add?

Who's coming?

I suggest we meet at the Carpark across from Moosehead Pub / Zen Yai / Hog's Breath in Civic on London Circuit about 11am.

See ya there peeps!

That's what I'm thinking. Out past Weston Creek / Coppins Crossing. Was out there yesterday cruising around as a matter of fact.

never been to canberra before.

what times are we looking at driving from sydney? would it be a day trip, or would someone like myself would have to make it a weekend trip? im thinking the latter.

i wonder if it would be warm enough to overnight in a tent down that way around that time....

Sure you could tent, although a day trip would be easy, it's a comfortable 2 hours from Sydney on the Freeway.

Hmmm . . . . maybe you should book a car carrier.

Smoov, you'll be right. There are barely any hills and if you get close enough to Canberra I am sure one of us can come and pick you up  .

Anyway, its a one day trip easy and camping down at the cotter is not bad at all if you prefer to take it slowly. In two days, you may be able to experience the three P's of Canberra.

Actually camping at Cotter wouldn't be too bad . . . apart from the fact that it's already halfway to Tumut, I'll be staying in Chapman so we might meet up on Sunday.

Unfortunately I have an engagement Saturday night so will therefore be unable to revel.

Alright then, LTurbo and I did a practice run on Friday and HOT DAMN there is some fun to be had there for both the dirt driving crew and the offroaders. Would be nice to get as many people as possible though.

Itinerary, Saturday the 19th November (subject to change) :

1100: Meet in carpark (venue established).
Lunch in Civic somewhere (Antigo's is nice and outside), meet and greet etc.

1300: Proceed along the Tuggeranong Parkway to Cotter Road.
Proceed along Cotter road, crossing the mighty Murrumbidgee at the Cotter Pumping Station.

1330: Enter ACT Forest land.
Welcome to the home of Subaru Rally of Canberra, Subaru heaven. Play nice (no crashes please, as I don't have room for dead Subaru buddies in the agenda). We will gradually make our way to the [in]famous Mineshaft.

1500 or so: Deep Space.
When we've finished playing the Deep Space Tracking station is really worth a look, good spot to re-group before we head back to Canberra.

1530: Coffee/Refreshments.
Somewhere nice, followed by goodbyes. Feel free to party on into the night, but I've got plans I'd really feel like bum to miss. Sorry.

Please bring Partners/family etc (although mine would much rather stay at home). Also a digital camera would be splendid.

Come on you Sydney crew, get your asses into gear and come and meet us!!!

PS: This offer is not exclusive to Ausubaru forum members. If you know someone who might be interested in showing up, please drag them along with you. The more the merrier.

Here is a sample of what we've got in store:

Mineshaft. It's a hell of a lot steeper than it looks. Very slippery too. Even you'll have fun with an EA82 Smoov.

looking good.

not bailing at this stage, but I do have some niggling issues Im wanting to fix before contemplating the long trip to canberra....

them dang radius rod bushes... the new ones are already chewed out, and awaiting eagerly from Blackbox motorsports, a new set of bushes and ball joints.

If they go in ok, then I'm set... if they don't, well.... i may have to pass!

fingers crossed!

Actually I'm going through the same drama at the moment - just ask LTurbo how much the little girl clunks and bangs down there.
