That would have been I.
I was referring to RSLC's "ROC"
Basically, the RS Liberty Club convene together annually in Canberra to exchange parts, banter, booze and cruise. It traditionally was held along with the actual ROC, but It was decided that little to no time was spent actually viewing the rally itself.
So, the yearly meeting was simply left being called "ROC".

No worries Jono. Alas, Canberra has been abandoned for 2008, and the annual RSLC regroup for 2008 has been dubbed "Rally of Wollongong"...

You mean ROC has been abandoned for 2008 , or the actually rally itself?

The RS liberty club ROC has been abandoned for next year, and the rally itself is doubtful as they only manage to scrape through organising it each year, and sponsors keep dropping off (like Subaru:( ).

Sorry to say, but that's because there are beaurocrats running it, and they spend too much time organising.
Mind you, that organising means its the best run rally I've been involved with.
If the official event is going to be dropped from the Asia Pacific championship next year, its a pity that it wasn't known earlier, Canberra is a perfect place for the WRC to be in.
Only 10-20 mins from the centre of the city to the stages, great and many dirt roads surrounding, and good organisers.

Ever since subaru left as sponers each year there is talk that there won't be a canberra stage, but they still come through each year.
So I am going to pressume there will be a canberra stage next year, but they do seem to struggle each year to get it together.
