The Next Meet

Post by smoov » Sun Nov 27, 2005 8:59 am

OK

Who'd be interested in a run in the new year?

Where would everyone like to go?

As discussed at our last outing, Stockton would be cool 8)

Who'd be interested in attending?

cheers

I'll be keen for sure . . pending of course. If any of the Canberra crew need a lift I'll be your taxi.

At this stage.

I'll need a lift as well. Someone has my Leone engine.

The present state of my white suby is very sad, it's doing well to make it to the end of the driveway, uses 3L of water and 1L of oil every 100km (yes one hundred km's).

This is the reason I'm getting the rubasu, hopefully all will be peachy soon but I can't garuntee I'll be up for a stockton run, I'd love too but I'm looking at 3-4 hours each way from here, and it's not really viable with <1 year old.

I'll see how things are looking when it gets closer.

There was talk of that at the BYB BBQ.

SUBYDAZZ will probably make an appearance so we can all laugh when he has to be pushed backwards down a steep sand dune AGAIN!!! :D:D:D

I know that this sounds like a full on 4 x 4 trip, but what about including a meet up for the "roadies" before you set off on the dunes?
I would love to come down the beach, but even though the Vortex can lift, It doesn't have a rear LSD. I'm sure others would think the same - or have I already missed that bit of the thread..
Chris

'88 Vortex AWD turbo with "go hard" attitude -

WRX EJ20G and box , TD05 Turbo and 4.111 running gear.
5 Stud conversion (Crossbred Performance) Multi pot GT Legacy brakes and 17" rims
Plenty of plans... the plans are getting done slowly;).... getting there - NOT! ;)

If the sand is well packed, even without a lift you can have some fun, and I'm sure others will have fun snatching you out when you get stuck.
I think I remember that subydazz didn't have a lift 2 yrs ago now? - a blue liberty right? but has now ?

Also the servo on Nelson Bay road near the turnoff for WilliamTown Raaf has
good wash down booths for those worried about salt/sand.....

For a meetup including "roadies" I think its best to set the meetup point at Anna-Bay

Fury - most of us don't have rear LSD anyway  so not having it shouldn't hold you up.

Nah that's Jack Sparrow aka CSM101 aka some other username at the moment.

Daz has a white Liberty wagon - I believe he had to be pushed back down the dunes in reverse last time...
