From the Nthen Star News paper on the 23.08.2007 (By Steve Spinks).
KYOGLE may be the venue of the biggest sporting event ever to hit the Northern Rivers if plans are approved for the Shire to host
some stages of the Australian round of the World Rally Championship next year.
While the rally itself will probably be based on Queensland_s Gold Coast, more than half of the competition stages will be held on dirt roads around Kyogle,
which could bring millions of tourist dollars to the district.
Basically its all subject to approval by the Kyogle Shire Council, Garry Connelly, organising committee chairman for Rally Australia, said.
We are working closely with the council

RX Project - will be road only at this stage (and currently taking way to long to finish).

How interesting... Kyogle's only 40 minutes from where I grew up (in Lismore) but I'm way down here in Sydney so I'm not going to get up there for it. Sounds like it would be great driving terrain if my memory serves me right. It's always bad roads out there. Dry and dusty to boot.
'91 Sportswagon - 3" lifted, 14" speedys, 27" Nankangs + lots of small details improved. Wouldn't mind some extra grunt from an EJ.
