VIC Inaugural Cruise 22 June 2008
One of the tiny coolant hoses around the manifold has burst - bugger!!!!! Murphys Law I guess.
If I dont fix it in time, I may have to whore with someone from Bunnings
WILL PAY FOR PETROL if I have to whore with someone.

We got home about 45 minutes ago - thanks Gee!
GT - fuel stopped my car, ruby scoo, from making an appearance. Sunnie made his debut so it was all good.
It was a great day and good to meet some of the faces behind the user names
Sunnie is needing a new rear muffler more so now than before the cruise and we used near a whole tank of fuel looking at the guage, pretty happy with that.
I got a couple of photos, not as many as usual namely due to the amount of rain and wet weather in general. I hope to have them up tomorrow some time, my computer has crapped out on "virtual memory" so i'll buz up to uni and use the macs up there... Here's a teaser for now
Til then, have fun
Cheers
Bennie

Vic Subi Cruise Report
Well, good ol' Victoria put on its best weather for us: Drizzle/rain pretty much the whole day except a little bit in the car park.
My day started out in benders, bathed in sunshine, saying bye to ruby scoo who was left behind due to fuel prices, wrong week to be paid and the distance to be travelled. We took Sunnie the brumby for his debut
The ride down was good, our little tom tom came good with directions that were fast and easy to understand.
The members that made the cruise - Cynical, Dfyol, Heath, GTlegs (organiser), Davosubi, Bratgeebah and myself. Schultzie made a start of cruise appearance, was great to meet you mate
As you can see the weather was fantastic - we didn't get to see any views from the top of Mt Dandengong...
Gee cruising behind:
First impromptute stop - snapped up the "teaser" pic in the previous post:
Then off to those arches for the end of stage one, a few different pics of the cars, member's in dissarray:
and some sort of organisation:
From here we left on the second leg of the cruise, slowly dropping people from the cruise as we neared their place.
Overall, for me, it was a great day, finally meeting more vic members - I'd only breifly met GTlegs last year. I've met more WA members than vic members... crazy.
It was great to be cruisin again too. There's something about a bunch of subaru's driving around aimlessly or for 4wd'n that you can't get anywhere else.
Now my plans for lift, EJ etc etc have new life to them but they still have to wait.
I'd like to thank GTlegs for getting the cruise organised and deciding on a route; Thanks to Gee for your family's hospitality. Thanks also goes out to the members who could make the cruise - it was a pleasure to meet you all!
I'm looking forward to the next meet.
Cheers

Yeah, I'm after one of these in the next couple of years, unless I can get a shell with glass for a good price at the right time...Bratgeebah wrote:It looks so low in the photo's.
Hey Shultzie what happened to that Targa Brumby you had? Did you get it from Jono or he from you? Who has it now?
Your lib does look low in the pics Gee, but that's because you can't see the size of the rubber your trying to hide in there.
So, when's fuel meant to drop again and which weekend is closest to that?
No worries about the camera - I did photojournalism at uni, Love taking images to document events, particularly when its something I'm really into
