Sounds like a great weekend If I wasn't going to deni I'd call in to see the girlfreind at wangaratta and then head over!
87 targa brumby (Neglected),
92 targa brumby (weekend runabout),
97 Lifted Outback (Dailey drive),
05 outback safety (Too cheap to pass up),
90 model liberty (was to be scrapped instead sold to workmate)
+ others.

Drop deni! It'll be on again next year ;) It'd be good to have a few extra members join in on late notice. Its always great to meet other members.

Well, I guess we'll catch you next time, have fun at deni and give us a report when you get back.

Have a rum for me

So, I'm about to grab a few last minute things before leaving benders for the trip...

It looks like there maybe some rain about on saturday if the weather man happens to be right - I might go buy a lottery ticket too :D

If there's anyone coming that is yet to put their hand up there's still time to confirm that you'll be there.

Things you'll need for the trip (I should have posted this ages ago):

4wd recovery gear - snatch strap at least (if you don't have one mine is available), hand winch, chain, D shackles etc

Tools/spare bits and pieces

Camping gear - tent sleeping bag mat

Food to cook on bbq or byo device to cook on for dinner.
- lunches that don't need to be cooked
- one breakfast
- snacks

Toiletries:
- toilet paper, I'll supply the shovel ;)

Torch/head torch

Water bottle for the day trip. I'll have a 20L bottle at least at camp and a 10 or 15 litre bottle in the subi for use.

Deck chair and esky for the coldies at the end of the day...

Anything else you deem important that will fit in your subi (shouldn't be hard to do)...

I'm getting excited already, can't wait for it!

See you all on saturday at 9am! Next forum check will most likely be friday night.

Cheers

Thanks Davosubi for your troubles with the door trims.

Tomorrow, I'll meet you all at 9am. A mate of mine may be coming in his rangie, He may get bored but he's good value.

We've had some rain here so its looking like some good fun to be had. Hopefully we'll only see a little bit during the day.

Looking forward to it. Going to pack the car now.

Cheers

Final check... Its getting very close now!

After thinking this trip was going to be dry its looking pretty moist out there. Just hope it doesn't fall from the sky - I should say that cos we need the rain...

Just quickly it went pretty well. Again, I discovered I needed lift - Ruby Scoo has a fair few new dings unfortunately, namely from rolling granite bolders under the car as you pass over them.

We played in "that puddle" for a fair bit :D I got snatched out twice - it should have been a few more times but some how I got out of those situations.

I'm hoping to have pics up later this week - uni's holding me back from a report at the moment :(

All in all a great weekend out - and we found a wicked little "playground", we were close last time but went left instead of right at one point...

Cheers

Trip report now available!

It comes with my "standard" dial up warning - there's about 24 photos I think from memory.
