Wow Carlie, looks like you got onto a good one there! I reckon the most important part of the vehicle is the body - with out that you've got nothing to work with! Plus the body is the main piece you get looked at with a road worthy - drive trains are easy to swap numbers with, unless you need it engineered...
The third (?) pic - the one at the ute muster with the holden next door, were they compensating for something with that flag pole???
Hope to see it in the flesh soon. Thanks for the pics, hope there's plenty more to come!
Cheers

Nice.. its not ugly - its different and you don't see them in these days... I actually havent seen that "old" brumby on the road, only wagons & sedans.
That ute would have been in a ute show somewhere in NSW - broken hill was it?
Cheers

The Deni ute muster at the start of October this year...
And I've never seen a sedan model of this type of subi - My neighbour had a ute like this (grew up thrashing it around their bush block), I enquired about it on behalf of Carlie but he sold it to a guy last year. He's also got a wagon of the same era that's spent most of its life in the paddock. Its now his hedge trimming platform, only gets used once a year... won't part with it

Hi Everyone !!!
Thanks so much.. I love my little subi !!
He does get quite a bit of attention wherever I go.. seeing as it is my daily driver I get a lot of looks.. Still not sure if its appreciation or laughing though !

But he is doing well at the moment, going to get the orig motor reco'd and then hopefully he will be doing really well.
Oh and Bennie, that holden ss series3 beside me at the muster, thats my other boy, and no, he's not compensating !

Haha...
My subi and I are hoping to join you guys on a 4wd'ing trip soon
!! Get one up my way !
As for the car show in NSW... Im not sure that must have been the little fella that owned the car before me.
Anyway, thanks all for your appreciation/encouragement.. Its very uplifting!

My subi and I are on the road daily!!!
Cheers,
Carlie
