A road cruise feeler

It feels to me like it may be time for another on-road cruise in, say, May on a Saturday or Sunday.

It can be the previous route around the Dandenongs, or a new one (down Beach road for example).

It is a good get together for older and new members to get to know each other without the stress of four wheel driving.

Expressions of interest please...

I'm (tentatively) in.

Would prefer a different route if possible, maybe around Frankston area (avoiding the highways) ?

Dean.

Well, it looks like it would have to be towards the end of May anyways.

Stress?! You need to get a 4wd subi that you'll take offroad - its far from stressful unless your trying not to get it dusty/muddy or try not to scratch the paint...

That said, if the date is good for me, I'll be there ;)

Could the great ocean road or part of it be a goer?

Cheers

Prob not in winter - its quite dangerous. I was thinking more along the lines of beach road Port Melbourne to Mornington pen.

I don't think it would be a dangerous road to drive in winter, provided you're driving to the conditions of the day... Just a thought and my opinion.

Any drive with another bunch of subi nuts would be good, just so long as its not blockies around an industrial estate :p

Oh, and you seemed to have missed my comment about the 4wd'n. Good idea not to get too far off topic ;) So I'll end here.

Cheers

Great Ocean road or Beach rd sounds good - pending the weather it sounds like a great outing GTlegs!

I'm keen to get something sorted - so thought I'd revive the thread...

I have no idea where we'd have an on road cruise but thought I'd get a date sorted while working out a route to take...

I'm all good to go now that the EJ is pretty much sorted.

Thoughts/ideas

Cheers

Yeah the GOR could be a good drive. The last weekend in November/Early December would be best for me - the first three weeks of November are booked solid for me...

Maybe we could make it an end of year BBQ? I've been to the one a few years ago in WA so could organise a road drive, BBQ then some offroading for those that want to go offroading with others for the arvo... Sound good?

Cheers

whatever is good. Just give me a date, and blacktop driving (mines not 4wd), and I should be there.

Okay, so my month of november is booked solid - that's gotta be a first for me!

Talking dates: Early december is looking good, so who can make it for the 5th or 6th of December? I think this date is far enough from christmas - anyone got a better set of dates if it is?

Next will be to sort out a trip route - I'm in favour of the Great Ocean Road ;)

Cheers

GOR could be a very long trip for some just for a casual cruise. I dont mind though.

Another possible route could be all the way down the mornington.

Give my enough notice, and any date is good for me.
