Nearly done with this gearbox and i want a trip to test it out :-D At this stage i am thinking of a weekend trip to Mt Cole, 26th-27 November. Feel free to come along for either day. I will probably be camping out on the Friday night as well.

Could change the location to the Cobaw if that suits anyone better.

Mt Cole is about 2.5 hours from Melbourne, depending on what side you're coming from.

Perhaps if its dry we can bring some jerry cans filled with water & spray the tracks haha

Please feel free to suggest another date if the 26/27th doesn't suit you.

I'm hoping to be there. Just need to find some funds, clean out Ruby Scoo and I should be apples.

Really looking forward to it with the liberty's low range

Bugger mate! I'm stretching things just to see this dual range H6, and to see Mt Cole for some 4wd'n rather just a recovery mission

Rhys, can you upload a map with the meet point on friday night? If all goes well I might rock up early as I'm not really doing much so would prefer to be lounging around out camping for the arvo than sitting on the couch/cutting grass...

Cheers

Camp spot for Friday will be Mugwamp. If Mugwamp is occupied when we get there then the backup with be Ditchfields. Bennie if you want to swing by my place when you like on Fri and we can both convoy from there. Same for anyone else who wants to come along a bit earlier.

Map and park notes: http://www.dse.vic.gov.au/__data/assets ... Forest.pdf

Been to Mugwamps a half dozen times, never remember how to get back. Generally i take Main Mt Cole Road to Ditchfields campground, drive through Ditchfields and cruise around untill i end up at Mugwamp.

If anyone gets lost trying to find Mugwamps then sit tight at one of the campgrounds (they're all singposted), radio us and we will come to you :D

UHF will be channel 10.

If we get there early enough Friday then we can do some recce's for places to get stuck on Sat/Sun.

Best place to fuel up is the BP at Beaufort.

I'll be there early fri so we can test out your cars recovery ability :p

Will there be much deep water? I still have to put in breather tubes & a fan switch...Hell Hole Track sounds fun lol

No water crossings. There maybe be some bog holes, but to be honest i've never come accross one out there. So to answer your question about deep water, basically i have no idea.

Well how about 12ish in Ballarat on Fri? The earlier the better i reckon' :D

Ruby Scoo will be a no show  It'll be a sad day when she misses her first forum organised 4wd trip...

If it's all good with you Rhys I'd like to ride shot gun with you. And no, Ruby Scoo's not getting left behind cos a H6 has low range :(

Looking forward to it.

Cheers
