VIC Daytrip

Post by xaymaca » Fri Oct 28, 2005 9:03 pm

Can someone in Vic organise a daytrip 4WDing somewhere? I'm really keen to give it a shot but don't wanna get caught out by myself!

Best I've done is Bunyip State Park just cruising a few of the humps there!

Awesome to hear! We just need someone to organise it, I can't as I have no idea - I will be a follower for at least the first one!

I may organise something for a cooler day in Jan. It will have to be onroad only for me though as mine is 2wd. Sorry.

How about a kingslake run - I did it a couple of times with the Liberty club boys and its A1.

Yeah St Andrews - Kinglake is a suburb road for steering skills + AWD.. my girlfriend hates that road because its sooo windy... around back of Kinglake there are fairly good tracks there around Kinglake National Park & Mt Disappointment National Park.

I cannot remember where else in Victoria which has the most windy roads.... apart from gravel road from Turtons Track in the Otways.. average speed is 25 - 35 kmh in FWD 98 V6 Camry for approx 15-20 kms, with the Liberty should be able to do 45-60kmh. (couldn't drive my liberty as its still at the panel beaters)

I've been ridiculously busy at work. I WILL organise something for start of March - need to do a trial run first. Probably a light Kingslake run - around 2 hours.
