big river trip

Hey guys im going to organis a weekend trip friday night till sunday at big river. Set up a base camp and head out from there both days thinking about 5 to 10 weeks away just wanting to see if there's any interest and see what dates suit people best

The big river at the to of the reefton spur. Its about 30 mins past warburton or marysville depends witch way u go. There's a camp site there called frenchmans so was gonna camp there

Just been informed that the camp I go on every queens bday weekend is going to big river. Its sort of a father son camp but that's just a way of them saying no chicks. Ill be talkin my kids. Ill be heading up there on the friday night and heading back on the monday. There will be 4wding every day always very organised there will already be a couple of subys and a lot of other cars. There is normally about 15 4wds and there are a few blokes that go in different direction on bikes. Its always a great weekend if anyone is interested let me no and ill post more info

Sounds like the go if i'm not working... Got some mates that'll probabily hang around camp wastin time if they don't come 4wd'n.
Keep the details coming - can 2wd cars make it to the camp site?

Yeah we always camp where 2wd cars can get some blokes stay there for 2 weeks and do nothing but sit by the camp fire. I normaly do my own camp spot with my own fire just do the 4wdriving with the others. There all friendly and love to chat but there is normaly bout 40 blokes round the same fire so I like it a little more sucluded. So feel free to bring others and lob your stuff round my stuff
