sorry to hijack this thread... wouldnt there be any memcell/memory differences ie. power curve etc..

lol sorry guys.... what I meant was - are there re-mapped ECUs over the years, some cars have newer ECU with better memory/map/program for engine management that could be used in earlier cars with same specifications and could help for the performance. for example - Holden Commodore VN Series 2, you could use VP series 2 in VN for better performance/power/fuel economy etc...

Not really, the EJ22 kept pretty much the same power output throughout its life.
