Sorry Mike.. Can't help but if you find some, I'll have some too.. Maybe if wee get a few people that want one, I might ask my friend (steelworks) to get me a price on a whole sheet?

Well.. we'll see if anyone else wants some as well and I'll just ask him to give me a few sheets :) He said I called at the right time because he was buying 22 sheets for a job coming up and the normal price was around $500/sheet but bulk buying gave him a great price :)

no idea :( but if you're thinking of transporting it to Qld.. I'd suggest looking for a supplier over there.

Hey guys,

I'll be in also to make two or three for me and me mates brumby.

Did you guys think about fabrication? Maybe we could each make our measurements etc and get one guy to weld fabricate some for forester, L series and Brumbies.

They are steel right? Would alu be better? harder to weld up tho:S

But yeah i'd get two for sure and maybe a third not sure yet.

Sorry guys.. I didn't let you know that my friend (Joe) has priced me up 5mm Aluminium checker plate. We will be able to cut it with either a jigsaw or my friend Jarrod has a plasma cutter that I think will be able to cut it to whatever shape we like, after that, Joe will then be able to bend it. We'll need to have them all done and ready for Joe so he's not doing one now and then ( he's doing me a big favour so I don't want to push my luck :) )

Why dont you get the i cant believe its not checkplate? I mean the aluminium stuff that has been stamped to look like checker plate? Last time i got some i got off cuts (was all i wanted) and it was cheap light and still surprisingly strong.

not sure where you can get it thought, i got this while my brother worked at coromal caravans

Paul, do you already have the measurements for an L series or do we still need to get that sorted along with the others.
No problem paying in advance for this bad boy either.
cheers
