Guilderton sat 19th - Sun20th March???

Post by guyph_01 » Mon Feb 28, 2011 11:54 pm

Hey guys,

Anyone interested in going to Guilderton on Sturday the 19th of March to Sunday 20th

bbq, fishing, swimming etc.

meet: Parking lot opposite Cord st off Joondalup Drive (used before for the two rocks trip)

time: 10am

bring: 4wds, fishing gear, bbq food, bbq etc, recovery gear.

I want to make the most out of summer and want to start explore as much as I can as I haven't done that until now:)

Could drive upto Seabird along the beach even. I'm keen as mustard as long as my car is running well (touchwood) and I might be heading elsewhere during march so hopefully that doesn't clash... but yeah, sounds like a good idea Guy.

d_generate wrote:This is a great spot between Ledge Point & Lancelin, there are reefs within meters of the shore & plenty of places to find those little things that turn red when they hit hot water, the beach is generally pretty good for driving & you can approach from either Lanno or a back track that takes you straight there, sort of a camping area just off the beach.
I've got to have a main artery bypass in my leg on about the 20th of March & spend a week in hospital so not too sure I'll be mobile enough by then but sounds like a good date.

You can see Ledge to the south & Lancelin to the north, great spots for whiting all over the place too.

Looks great but i didn't really want to go up all the way to Lancelin.

I was thinking more around the Two rocks area. Either between Yanchep and Alkimos (At the end of Pipidinny Rd looks like there's a off road track) OR Around Guilderton.

A possible from me too, gotta go to hospital around that date but it must be 21st or 22nd, the beach entrance there is pretty soggy from memory, you may need to stay at the caravan pk or maybe try Seabird/Ledge Pt or the area I suggested on the other thread.

Yeah, not 100% yet, captive nut problem trying to fit extended arms in the rear to set the wheels 25mm further back to hopefully stop the self steering articulated feeling, as usual one side easy & the other not grrrrrrrrrrrrr/
