Murchison Offroad Adventure Park Weekend
Murchison Offroad Adventure Park Weekend
Im sure most of you W.A members have heard of the Murchison Offroad Adventure Park up near Kalbarri. 6hours drive from Perth.
http://www.murchisonoffroadadventures.com.au/
The park is specifically designed to test the driver and their vehicle. With tracks and courses varying from easy to extreme. you can also take motorbikes, buggys and what not up there.
I know Adrian has been up there with his forester and had a awesome time.
Im heading up at the end of this month for the weekend 27th-29th (August) with a work mate who has a modified Jeep Wrangler and a few of his mates with Hilux's, Patrols, Landscruisers and the rest.
Im taking my forester, just wondering if anyone or a few of you guys would be interested in coming down from Perth and coming along for the weekend. We will be camping and it will be a blast.
Teach some of the guys how to offroad Subie style I know its a bit of a trip but would be well worth it and would not disapoint.
Cheers

Just make sure you've got some awesome tyres on there and you'll be sweet!
I always compare mate's 4wd's when they laugh that I couldn't get through - they've usually got the locker engaged and that's the difference. Only once have I lost traction on a steep incline due to not having the weight and another time didn't have a good enough low range to pull up a hill that was nearly a cliff - it was a long bugger too!
Dad's still at me - "get a real 4wd" yet he drives a range rover. I think I'll stick with my subi. The 4.11 diff's that I'm keen to get sorted will make a HUGE difference offroad and I can't wait to have them fitted!
Cheers

I have my Geolander AT-S tyres 27.5" with over 80% tread so im sorted there. Will probably be quite muddy up there too, im abit concered about not having a snorkel with some of the water crossingsEl_Freddo wrote:Just make sure you've got some awesome tyres on there and you'll be sweet!

A Subaru is a 'real 4x4' im forever having this discussion with my Dad or the guys I work with. But I also state that I get twice the fuel economy they get, a better ride and is 300x more comfy than their big rigs
Yeah with 4.11 diffs, your 1.59 low range, rear locker and EJ22 you'll be sorted Bennie
I rarely find my low range 1.447 isn't low enough with my 4.11 diffs, the main issue is power due to the little EJ20 and usually a car full of gear

hummmm, mud. i'd hesitate a lot...., or at least well use the car annd take millions of pics before i get all my paint dirty. LOL
The project, EJ22 --->>> EJ25 Quad CAM:D touring wagon

I know my foz has limited so im not going to push them much as I don't want to break anying this time. Mud I can live with, most hill climbs, sand and rocks are fine but water, I really dislike. Im worried either A. Hydrolock my engine and have to get another or B. get stuck and have it pour in through the dorrs and fill the foz up, f**king my ECu, amps, carpets and seats.

Moa is a great place I highly recommend it. Be a lot of water this time of year though have fun you'll spend weeks cleaning your car.

I've heard it's a great spot for midges
You know you are getting old when the candles on your birthday cake start to cost more than the cake itself.
