Just for the record, here is a photo of my original wagon the very first weekend I bought it. The photo is taken from the top of the huge play area we got to via Romeo road a few weeks ago.

However we had gotten there via the EXACT tracks all of us were on today. :P

(Granted it had been raining slightly during the morning.) but we went back on many many occasions when it was dry too!

- Bog standard car (EA82, Hitachi Carby, running like total crap)
(13" wheels, unlifted etc etc)

(that was my mate Andrew's L series in the background - with his Dad's Forester in the far background).

Waiting an hour for me.... pfft. Half hour max!

Was a good day I guess. Certainly convinced me to get back into the garage! AndrewT's tourer is magic on the sand.

Hope to do it again some time soon

Nope, I'm Dave's only bitch. ;)

Keen to get out more often though. I need all the inspiration I can get to get back in the garage. On a side note the parts hunt for my wagon got significantly better today, and a new intercooling idea is being toyed with.

It's only a matter of time before the inevitable AndrewT vs Tim_81coupe Massive Dune Hillclimb Challenge begins.....

that sounds so suss.

andrew looks like that wagon got everywhere by digging itself around- hence all the sand scooped up on the bumper lol. (that bonnet did look good before :p)

sand sure does change a hell of a lot in a year or two. but im still keen to go back. next week anyone?!

I got a camp trip with some (non-suba) mates out in Glen Eagle next weekend i think. I might make some Honda CRV boys cry with a bit of a follow the leader through Jarrahdale.
