kit looks good. Very nice work Paul. I reckon you could sell a fair few of them kits!

if i was ever to lift a l-series again via a bodylift i would use poly blocks for the radius rod arms and try and engineer a way to connect them all together to spread the load abit. Id mainly do this due to the captive nut problems. My wagon was 3inch lifted for about 4 years. Went thru some very severe bashing at least once every weekend. Alot of the time 3 or more times every week.

That coupled with a ej22 for 3 years was unfortnately the end of all my captive nuts. Re welded them all but the damage was done and it was never strong again.

Yes i drove my car very hard and any other car driven nicely would probably last ALOT longer. Just saying to be careful and keep an eye on it as it eventually did spell the end for wanky wagon :(

Just some ideas.

Cheers Alex :) I'd be interested in talking to you further on these radius rod deal as from what I see on this 3" kit the rod is under a lot more strain.

Here is a thread when we all discussed it quite a bit back when Matt had similar issues.

There was some lift kit place that was linking the three radius rod blocks together as standard but looking now, the links to their website are now dead, pity, there were even pics.
I went one better than this with my 6inch kit. when the kit arrived, I decided straight away there was no way I was going to fit it without any extra bracing. 3" kit with the radius rob blocks not linked is one thing, but a 6inch one, the flex would just be way too much.
I linked mine together (but kindof had to because I was adapting for Liberty control arms anyway), but then went one step further and linked all the way up to the engine crossmember blocks too. No way in hell it will flex now.

Excellent.. Cheers Andrew.. I was wondering why my L had the extensions welded to that plate. Might need to make the MK2 versions a bit different.
