So why the spill about WRX owners being wankers in your first post?Thumpage44 wrote: I think its my right to have a bit of a wank on my car, although it does have a BOV aswell which turns it into a full on toss.

Lol well.. They just are! All the time in traffic they have to beat you in a race no matter what! Even when your next to them and there are cars directly infront of both you and them, they insist on flawing it until they are an 1/18th of an inch away from the back bumpers. This doesn't just happen when im driving my cars, it also happens when im driving cars like Rav 4's, Landrovers, Hilux, Prado, Landcruisers... Not exactly the hoons choice ride.subasurf wrote:So why the spill about WRX owners being wankers in your first post?

Haha well im glad you enjoyed my swift backhand!
Well put the car up on the ramps after about 37 attempts of getting halfway up them and rolling back down I'm not exactly sure what im looking for, i asked someone to change gears while i was under it and the only thing i could see moving was this:
I'm not sure if you meen i have to take the gearbox apart or... Any help or constructive insults welcome!

See if there is movement here, like it it's loose at all. That bit has a bolt going through the middle with some nylon bushes making it tight - these can flog out over time. If they are loose then your shifter doesn't have the same amount of throw so it's harder for it to select gears.

It is of course possible that the actual 5th gear inside the gearbox is worn too.
The spark plugs are located underneath the ignition coils. These are on either side of the engine in the rocker covers. You need to undo the two 10mm bolts in each coil, take the coil off, then undo the spark plugs with a socket and extension. Abit of a bugger to access.

try sum iridium plugs. Your motor will love u for it. They also last 5 times longer than normal plugs. But theyre expensive.
I use them in my ej20g, work well.

Iridium plugs are cr4p in a turbo motor. You'll be lucky to see out 10,000km's with them. The iridium tips crack and fall off in turbocharged motors.
Use NGK Platinums instead. Unfortunately these are even a little bit more expensive than Iridiums.
If you want something nearly as good as Platinums but without the high price tag just use NGK V-grooves (BKR6EY). Thats what I've run in my Subarus and its also what my mate's Skyline runs.
