So...my clutch is on its way out. It's not too bad but it is slipping sometimes in high gears which is frustrating.
I'm looking at replacing it ASAP. Any recommendations for mechanics, replacement clutches (instead of OEM ones) etc? Is it hard to do yourself? I've never replaced a clutch, however. Is this going to cost me a small fortune? Anyone wanna do it for me for a few slabs of beer? Hahaha
Cheers chaps!
Replacing Forester Clutch
Go talk to CBA Malga (ask for Brendan, no not me) and get a OEM style clutch (think of a weaker clutch as a fuse for your gearbox)

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

But you don't want one of those shitty dual-mass POS either that end needing to be replaced down the track.BrennyV wrote:Go talk to CBA Malga (ask for Brendan, no not me) and get a OEM style clutch (think of a weaker clutch as a fuse for your gearbox)

Ok, Ill clarify
OEM as in stock/non heavy duty, don't get a beefy puck clutch and some pressure plate that's going to kill your gearbox.
