Hi,

This is my 1st post here, but hope it's not my last. My names Dave, and I'm very new into the 4WDing world. I'm looking around WA for others who are as keen as I am to start going on some road trips, being day trips, or month long outings.

My aim is to meet some awesome people and make some good friendships with others who have the love of 4WDing in common, and also gaining allot of experience for knowledged 4WD drivers.

I would expect there's probably a bunch of other people around here who are just like me, so hopefully we can all get involved somehow.

Hope to hear from you guys. Let me know what you think.

- Dave

I'm overseas at the moment, but after the end of august I'll be back in Perth and up for some 4wding, as long as it's not too hard core. My poor little outback can't handle too much roughness haha

Welcome to the forum Dave.

If you're new to 4wding, I'd recommend checking out the Subaru 4wd club. Most of trips they do are pretty tame compared to what the guys here do, but the powerlines run next month is a good day out. Details here.

Dane.

Thanks GOD. Thats great advice, I've been looking for something like that around the place.

I'll definitely catch up with the subaru 4wd club guys.

I'm also up for getting involved with organizing some trips with guys on these forums too. Anyone up for something in the second half of september?

The WA Subaru Club is a great club for family outings and all that. We were members when i was a kid and we went all sorts of places in the bush, through the mud, etc. Its probably why I have the subaru bug now, and why my dad has it too.

Now that I think about it, it might be a good way to ease my wife into the concept of camping in the bush - she's not a fan but then again where she's from you get eaten by bears if you spend the night in a tent!
