How the hell can i get this off?
How the hell can i get this off?
Ok heres a quick run down, This is a back brake drum off of a suzuki lt230 GEF it was free so im fixing it up turns over apart from i need brakes and this drum wont come off!
it is on a tappered shaft that has got splines on it so it should come off rather easily but for the love of me i cant get the fing thing off!
i have tried soaking it in an excessive amount of CRC and then use a precision tool aka hammer to get it to move in either direction but nothing happens! Im looking to see if anyone has a big ass puller i can borrow to get it off or If you know how to get it off shed some light on the situation, Hell if come and get it off if ya want :P\
thanks

Yeah.. I understand but I think a site dedicated to Suzie would be more of a help.Kappage wrote:Nope, jsut looking for general ideas, on an American ATV forum they jsut said CRC and a hammer, how helpfull.
I didn't feel a thing but the FBH is something you don't want to use unless you're prepared to buy new parts to replace the busted stuff.TOONGA wrote:OUCH

That and disconnect the brakes if their cable actuated. Does the drum spin? If not take it to a workshop as it could be rusted on!
