Hi Guys,

Since the L series have terrible lights, i'm looking into getting HID kit lights for my car. I didn't want to go the e-bay route but looking to get something at a local shop with a warranty, even if its a little more expensive.

Would any one know a place where we could buy them from?

I've also looked with Jaycar, as a member here works there and can get them cheaper than advertised on the shelf. at the moment the H4 lights kits would be around $120ea

Up to now we have:
RSR555
Dann
Wagonman
Guyph

Anyone interested? Only serious people plz as we need to know for sure how many kits to order etc.

Thx

I think the "rules" state that only if the car was fitted with them from factory but I believe if you keep them correctly aligned then you wont have any issues with the law.

Ok guys, found another supplier. With Tristan we are 9 kits in total. You can expect the price to be between $80-$120 for a kit depending on the supplier we go with. being me i tend to try and get as cheap as possible but this time only if the supplier is genuine and we are assured quality and a fair warranty on the kits.

Anyone else? the more the cheaper:)

Also, once confirmed you will have to pay in the next 12-24hour. So be sure when you put your hand up.
thx

Ok guys,

This is the last email i got from the supplier.

'Hi Mate, the absolute best price i can do is $75.00 a set. I can vouch for the quality definately, before selling any on ebay we have installed on some of my friends vehicles with great results. They are manufactured in China from high quality components and tested before dispatch. They are very bright and a good light sprectrum in the 6000K. As for warranty they come with a full 12 month warranty, if there are any problems just let me know and i will repair or if need be the product will be replaced with a new one.

Regards
Stuart'

This is $75 for either the H4 or H1

Plz let me know who is definitely interested and i'll add to the list. The kits will be bought in about a weeks time. thx

So could anyone shed some more HID light on the legality issue. As much as illegal our cars are generally anyway, how much more illegal is this going to make them?

For a 99 Outback, you have 2 globes, a H7 and H1

As for everybody with H4 globes, HID H4's are crap!

Because of the way H4 filaments are positioned, nobody can make a discharge lamp (HID) with the gas tubes that close together, so you end up with poorly positioned and aligned lights that annoy other road users

Get some of these instead http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Philips-H4-X ... ion-100-H4

$38.00 for twice the brightness and road legal too

Im getting them for the Outback and the Forester

Yes final price is $75 per kit. He doesn't have enough kits in stocks and ordered some. About 8-10days wait.
