Two Rocks

Post by JPM » Sat Oct 08, 2011 6:00 pm

Went to Two Rocks yesterday for an afternoon out, and had a ball. Did some sandboarding with my son, put my toes in the water and didn't get bogged!!!

Happy days...

Anybody keen on maybe a Two Rocks day out, say early November?

Who's keen?

Replies require a current photo of your beast as it sits at the moment !!

Here's a photo of my dune warrior- lift now complete, and wearing her new boots.

Ill put myself in for a maybe mate.. My beast is 90% done and should be a road goer in a few days. But im going to lancillin on the long week of this month so who knows what might happen!

Im looking for a set of lifted springs to go on my early impreza shocks to go in my L series. Do you guys know what i should be looking for, as in part numbers? Or should i just go into pedders and ask them?

Dobinson are what Tazza & I are using, both very happy with them, Malaga Suspension I think is the distributor, I'm sure Tazza will pipe up, he's got a better memory than me.

+1 If its around this time. Im planning to come down, meet a few more of you guys, see your beasts
Also coming down to go to the Caravan and Camping show, picking up a Dual Range AWD gearbox and go to a Subie Dealer for a few small things.

Dobinson Springs are awesome. I have had them for since June in the foz, they are and awesome greeny/bluey colour, 30mm higher than stock Forester ones in the back and 25mm in the front. They don't sag much when the car us loaded up, some but thats to be expected. They will fit in impreza struts to the best of my knowledge, speak to D_Gen about that:D
They also have an awesome comfort ride compared to King Springs too.

Hopefully I get some time this week to look into some options, im leaning towards Kings cos i can get a decent price and its easily accessible to me. At the moment im thinking that for the L series with impreza shockies maybe std outback springs will do the trick or are they the same height as the impreza springs?

Im also facing other problems atm.. worst is the horrible vibration at 50kph+ on light accel.. Gonna try my other set of rims and tyres that ill balance and see if makes a difference. Otherwise im thinking tailshaft. Havent heard many having trouble with the tailshaft balance (with 3" lift, EJ)

ps this is kinda on the thread topic.. cos if i cant sort these things out i cant come ;)
