Post by coupe » Tue Feb 28, 2012 10:48 pm

Hi Gang.
The fuel pump in my vortex is crappy.
Is the turbo vl commodore pump a replacement or what else is used?.
Cheers Pete

Any VL Commonwhore one will do. If you buy secondhand then make sure it's in good nick.. otherwise best to buy new

Thanks guys xxxx
I can stand 15 feet from the car and hear the pump working over the engine noise lol.
Thanks Paul, the motor is a vast improvement on the old one.
It pings at the upper end of the rev range
but it could be the pump pressure dropping out at the upper end causing the ping.
Cheers Pete

No probs Pete.

I'd suggest you put some Subaru Upper Cylinder Cleaner and a bottle of Injector Clean in for a good clean out :)
