Yeah im not too keen on the whole mud thing.. Used to in my first L but too much blood, sweat and no tears (yet) has gone into this one to fill it with mud. Im keen for some 'dry' bush trails tho.. Anyone thought of doing the holland track?

Anyway.. who knows where on Marmion ave we should meet on sat at 10am? Can you guys remember where we met last time. Cos dont have any idea.

This is where we met last time.. the carpark with the A in it on this link

http://maps.google.com.au/maps?saddr=-3 ... 9&t=h&z=18

Hope it works, if not the address is the corner of Marmion Ave and Kingsbridge boulevard.

Im hoping to be there @ 10am and so far im expecting to see
Guy (and associated mechanical weaponry he may have with him..)
Paul (a brumby full of CC's and a rod perhaps)
Tom (dont forget the milk crates)
Taza? (said the word maybe at least a dozen times so we'll see him.. maybe)
Luke? (its not dirty enough on beach, so no?)

Can you guys confirm or is anyone else keen?

Im only going for the day until late afternoon and guy will only stay until his gearbox breaks :P but paul sounds like he is staying over night..

Sounds good.. cya there at 10 ;)
Wagonman wrote:Guy (and associated mechanical weaponry he may have with him..)
LOL.. have you seen or heard about it?
Wagonman wrote:Paul (a brumby full of CC's and a rod perhaps)
Unfortunately.. due to Guy's monster.. it may be best for me to take my canyonero but I'm cool with this as it holds sh*tload more CCs :p

I'm 99% sure Tristan (aka 90Brumby) is coming.

I don't think Guy will break his gearbox as I'm sure he's not taking the L

Oh and yes, I'll be staying overnight.. got to sleep off all those CCs :D

What a great Day, Started Late due to a snapped Timing belt on Damien's Liberty but ended up to be a great day.
So present for the day
Paul in his landcruiser
John in his Ej22 L series
Tom in the mean turbo GC8 wagon
Damien In My ej18 Impreza
Guillaume(my bro) in his ej22 brumby
Tristan in the BMW X5
And me in my ej25 L series.
We were then joined at some point by taza and dav with thiere foz and outback but they then went there separate way. Shame they missed some fun tracks. And at the end Glen with his ej22 L that when to camp over night with Paul.

Really entertaining day watching, pushing, pulling the X5 around... LOL Nah it did quite well, major down side was clearance and because of that it sank and sat on the chassis on the soft sand. Hummm, after today Tristan must be thinking... "Done that, tried that but never again!!! NOTE only take hatchie 4wding" lol

Only got a few pics on my phone.

Thank GOD that guys helped us with his patrol. Must say that the sand was particularly soft and the patrol helped a LOT pulling the X5 around...
Amazingly, the bogged master, Tom didn't get bogged once....

Got to a high point, opened the bonnet to get it to cool faster. Nothing major. More precocious than anything else:)

Yeah gotta admit it was the best day I've had up there, we even made it a couple of K's past the Wilbinga shacks, car performed perfectly apart from losing a bit of hose off the vacuum line which was fixed with a cable tie and breaking the other weld on the front sway bar extension, I'm amazed at how well it went today. Kudos to those Dobinson springs because they took a hell of a pounding and Guy's Honda ones even lasted some pretty nasty tracks.

Apart from guy's mates little mishap at the beginning all the cars seemed to make it home reasonably unscathed for a change.

It was good to see Paul get his 100 series V8 bogged and rescued by some milk crates lol and the BMW X5 with it's massively wide low profile tyres just didn't have the clearance some time but what a glorious sound that V8 makes.

Thanks guys, was a great day, shame there was too much weed for fishing because it was one perfect day

You are correct Guy won't be taking it off road much more unless I can get a good lift and weight reduction lol

I'll post up pics of Paul when I get onto the computer

But wasn't a bad day after all

Tristan

Wish I could of joined ya's, another time though.

After you guys stopped off and Dave was airing down we went and set up camp. I came back later that arvo for a chat but you had all left. I think I saw Paul fishing this morning too...

Yes you did. Danielle said she saw you guys whilst I was fishing. Caught a few Herring, couple of Skippys and Glen caught a couple of Darts

Also found Mike (aka Suba) on the way back.

I have some pics too, so will post up shortly

Mine too was in slow mo, just wanted to show the sand "spray" :)

Got new ideas to try out this coming weekend
Who's in?? No point starting a new thread...

Looks like its going to be sunny this coming Sat, so I'm going out to play in the sand again:) And hopefully with my new gearbox.
The plan is to meet at Marmion ave (Joondalup) at 9.30. We then move to Two rocks. This time i want to head as far north as we can and find a spot to fish, have lunch, maybe a surf etc. I'm not gonna stop to go find a nice beach area until we have been quite a bit up north...
Let me know how's keen...

So far:
My L
My bro's Brumby
Damien's Liberty
My little Impreza
Greg's cruiser
Mark's Liberty (most probably)
Taza Foz (maybe)
John L's (maybe)
Paul's Brumby (maybe)
