Hey guys, I'm guessing some of you remember me and my poo brown touring wagon

(which I sold)

And replaced it with a V8 4runner (which turned out to be a bit of a money pit)

Now that I don't wanna be spending a fortune on fuel,
I got myself an 09' Forester 2.5 X (glad to be back in a subi to be honest)

So far beat my expectations, goes harder than my old EJ touring wagon, tows great, handles better than I expected. Had it on a bit of sand the other night and pretty fun to drive.

Lookin at getting some new wheels/tyres to raise it up slightly, wondering what are some decent 16" offroad tyres that will fit under these guards. Also considering a slight lift but not sure if worth it.

Either way should be fun modding it a bit and going on a few offroad trips again.

WOW, What a nice upgrade that must be over poo wagon. Although im guessing you kinda like that poo colour:) they were all brown/redish:p

That should be interesting to mod:) I can't wait to go back out on trips....

Cheers fellas, yeah huge upgrade over the L, doesn't have the same charm though haha.
And that colour seems to follow me around aye one of my commodores was also that colour lol.

Yeah modding will be interesting, I can't just cable tie stuff on like I used to hah.
It really needs some decent tyres on it, was looking at some 215/70r16 A/Ts to go on (unlifted) for a bit more clearance.

Also planning on a sports grille

and some roof racks, for now, I'm sure the list of mods will grow (as usual)

Grill looks good:) I wonder what mods are available for those new cars? And they would be quite pricey...

Anyway i'm waiting for my gearbox and then im going off road again.

Was 25k on finance from a dealer, didn't really shop around just needed a newish manual forester (full service history etc etc.)
