how not to do a clutch.

Do ya hate it when your son turns to you and says hey Dad can you look at the clutch.
Clutch, what clutch. It was beyond f*cked. then there was the three blown CV boots, the water leak. As i watch Paul's plane fly overhead, i could hear homer Simpsons classic " DoH" as i knew that option went north.
The clutch was a three day marathon due to different clutch sizes and finding a low transmission jack, and busted CV pins, i got the clutch out and found only oneclip on the thrust bearing and no return spring on the clutch fork. I had to do the boots on the shaft rather than take them out. the clutch plate went in the wrong way and after 2 hours of trying to get the gearbox to mate up, i rang Guy who solved that in 2 seconds. Then it still took 1.30 to mate the box up. Then 3 hours to pin and do the shafts because there was a tiny piece of broken pin still in the out put shaft that you could barely see but was stopping the pin 3/4 in.
So 36 hours late and a marathon 8 hour non stop effort today we rolled the @*^#0** car out and collapsed lol. Cudos goes to my youngest son (15 yrs) who is now on his third motor swap. second car rebuild and first clutch session and still is interested. but does ask me why is the car called a C*NT and not a Imprezza. OOPS bloody kids lol....
