chasing a ej25 quad cam engine

Post by coupe » Mon Sep 17, 2012 11:01 am

Hi Gang
I looking for a 94/98 ej25 quad cam for my outback.
Unfortunately my motor is toasted so the hunt is on.
Naturely like all of us subi owners i dont have a huge amount to spend.
So im hoping the gods of fortune will smile on me or i will just sell the outback as a whole wreck.
Cheers Pete

why not get a later Liberty ie. Gen4 EJ25 SOHC engine instead? They're better than DOHC EJ25.
Cheers

Yep.. one dodgy EJ25 quadcam engine located :)

Thx KPM.. although the engine had no compression on #1 cylinder we felt that due to the others having good compression, we could only assume a bent valve. So off with the heads and bottom end looks fine.
