Heya Bennie, yeah bloke wish you were there also, was a little bit of a challenge being the only L on the trip, we are still in discussion on a S.A trip for around Aug 2014 would be great to catch up there.

Great advice Doug, those tracks are an essential part of my recovery gear along with the long handle shovel, even though the tracks were not needed for the L on this trip, the shovel did get me out of trouble when I was stuck on 3 wheels on that hill, btw thanks for the offer of ur EA82 but I am just going to get a weber and go with ur advice on the manifold, I love my EA82 it runs so smooth.

Yeah Nigel, I will never be a curious bugger ever again with rubbish on the side of the road (lesson learn't), my uhf was a Uniden NB 80ch hand held which was handy for me as I can use it both in the car and outside the car as opposed to a dedicated in car uhf, Ohhhhhhhh yeahhhhh windows up from now on as I have found a mountain of sand throughout the L whilst cleaning it.

Heya Paul, yeah we all know who suffered on the hills (next time I will try it in 4wd instead of 2wd just wanted to see the L's 2wd potential LOL) and I am still waiting for the pic of a high and dry L to appear on Forum, but you never once saw the L in strife on the Beach (slow and steady), might have to start a new thread for the S.A run to give everyone heaps of notice what do you think, and btw Jason's cooking was not that bad it hit the spot, next time I will make up a big pot of stew.

Extra Essential gear next time, thongs and flynets.

Cheers

Yeah.. I second this.. that sand at 10:30am at Wakeford Rd was boiling and why would you need flynets when you had that great white paste stuff for keeping them away.. or should I say attracting them

Doesn't look like S Bend CP but it's definitely a Kodak keeper

I'd love to finish my L and take it but I think you'll understand why when you see my Outback.

So why haven't you started a thread?? LOL

I agree.. we need to give people as much notice as possible. What can we do about the time schedule, as it's going to be hard to please everyone but it would be good to have all the team there

Hey,

While sitting inside the aircon today I processed some of the footage I took at S bend. This is the first bit, from saturday morning. It was about 45 min's worth before I cut most of it out. Also added some text. Il do some more later.

I also noticed some glitching in the footage, which is odd because It doesnt do it in the original files, or the files I recompressed. Some issue with microsoft movie maker. Kind of looks like its reading the index wrong. Anyhow you get the idea

That was a good clip you put together (Well done)

Loved the Drifting and Smokey climbing that dune, looked great all fours spinning, the only bad thing about the clip is it makes me wanna get out there and do it again (like right now).

Cheers

So when can we go out again? as I can't see me waiting till Feb

I'd be keen to head down south towards Pemberton/Warren River like Doug has mentioned

:D. Don’t go nowhere without inviting me! Pembo trip would be a hike for WayneO... know of any other good spots up north fella's. I really dont know having always gone south.

Plenty more footage WayneO, probably another 2 or 3 hours worth including your L stuck on the hill . Watched that earlier, hilarious!
