Power steering rack needs to be rebuilt

Post by Corax » Wed Jul 16, 2014 10:00 pm

Hi All,

Does anyone on this site know where I can take the power steering rack off my brumby to be rebuilt? Both seals leak very badly and as far as I know there is nobody in my neck of the woods (Bunbury) that does stuff like this. Since the rack is off a MY touring wagon apparently the seals are ' as rare as rocking horse shit' to quote a friend who works for Subaru.

Cheers,
Dave.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SUBARU-BRUMB ... 2a3a8177a5

They are remanufactured so brand new basically, $550 seems reasonable considering I paid $520 to have a rack reco'd 4 years ago and it is already shot.
Current :
1992 Brumby (Future EJ20 Conversion)
2007 Toyota Prado 120
2012 Great Wall V200 (daily driver)
1997 Subaru Outback
1999 Toyota Surf (Beach Basher)
Past:
To Many to list!
