this is a chance for me to find out where it is.
As I'm driving in from northam to perth, just past the lakes, I see a long uphill dirt track near the highway.
is that it?

I'm unlifted though. AND I've never been. I don't know what kinda places you drive at, so I don't know if I could.

If I have a working Subaru by then I'll be coming along. It's been about a year (!!!) since my last decent Subaru 4WD trip.
Not too sure if I'll have a working vehicle by then though. I'll try my best.

I'll have a passenger seat freshly vacuumed for you if you want it Tim.
Kerazy - First two times I did the powerlines trek I was unlifted aswell. Granted, I did scrape the floor more than once, but that was cause I didn't take the granny tracks. They are ways around almost all the hard bits, it's a fantastic track.

trip is definitly doable in a non lifted car.. i've done it twice now i think. Still havent broken anything major..car had a hissy fit with a water crossing but i doubt that would be a drama this time of year.
