Not sure what your trips are like Brendon however we have been on quite a few trips and not busted to much (with the exception of the spilt hose in Dwelling up and I think that that was just plan bad luck) all other damage for us is the result of either pushing limits on a track or from being stupid and personally I prefer the former rather then the later.'[4MUFF wrote:] even a good trip will result in this most of the time
Its all top secret… you should know this by nowSuba wrote:So where is the Decent trip you are going to go on .

Well we would have gone south with you however we were on the east coast so missed out on that 1.
It is my understanding that Dave (Subarino) and Dave (Devil) did some more recon of some other tracks up in Jarrahdale around the same time so this could be an option, however with the recent rain could be a disaster waiting to happen as well (I am sure we all remember what that was like last time there in the rain) – still could be an option and those that want damage are bound to find it.
There is a full 2 days of 4WDing camping trip that Dave (all these bloody Dave’s - Subg) and I recon’ed in Nannup a few months ago which will sort the men from the boys, unfortunately unless we get just a little more sun and the place dries out we can not do this 1.
NOTE that lift, 4WD tread and dual range is a MUST for this trip as well and the ability/confidence to pick a line on the run as there are WAY to many climbs which are way to long and steep to just go walking them. By far the 1 of the best 4WD trips I have been on… some of the climbs could be about twice the size of Kitties and you go up and down several of them - we are keen to get back down there.
In addition to this Subg and I have done a sand trip that goes around near the Swan Valley area which have been good and you could easily take a group and we have had a general explore around the eastern side of the road to Lancelin (both near Yanchep and Moore river National Parks, obviously not in the parks) and there are hundreds of tracks and very easy to get lost for a few hours playing/exploring.
There are a few more trip I was hoping to have done some recon for however the trip to the east kinda mucked this up and with the wet season approaching fast (well so it feels) some trips are going to be off limits/to difficult (this being said though there is a side of me that is kinda keen to see just how much of a bog Mundaring turns into however will wait for more rain for that 1).
Other then this I am currently talking with some people about the potential of another recon trip and then maybe a group camp somewhere after this… its just easier if you know where your going and do not have to do crazy time wasting things, like attempt to turn a convoy around because your in a 1 track dead end – well I think so anyway.
So basically if your interested in interest in a wkd away somewhere then I suppose post something in here and/or keep an eye out and 1 of the things we are doing we’ll open up for a larger group.
Why what trip do you have planned Mike? Others?
I’m always willing to hear them and tag along on a trip to a new destination rather then being the 1 who plans them (note that i am not having a shot at anybody about this).
Anyway keep an eye out for some trip threads, and although the rain is welcome just a bit less of it will make for some great 4WDing/camping conditions.
