im gonna write some dates down for a possible jarradale camp in over a months time. last years trip was about this time and i had a great time then so i thought why not have another.

i realise there are a few members who have their cars off the road atm (in a bad way) but hopefully there is more than enough time to rectify this before the trip. something to work towards anyway

so at this stage im thinking Saturday 29th September for an overnighter.

btw itd be great if subarino would join us with his gps tracks and knowledge of the kittys gorge track in particular- as i think he went there last. :)
so im just puttin the feelers out. u keen?

unlifted soobies will make it- as long as you are prepared for some brusies underneath. dual range box would be very helpful too for these tracks.

the kittys gorge track is NOT DOABLE without a lift matt....trust me on that one....dual range and lift kit is absolutley necessary with that particular track. but im in...somebody elses car :D

should be able to compensate with plenty of clutch slipping...I beleive your clutch is pretty new so it should survive =)

plus u have the LSD to compensate for no Low range lol

thats got nothing to do with it
the hills are very steep and very long....my liberty could not make it up the track in 1 direction...all due to the fact i had no low range.....

and i had power...lots of power...but thats nothing when u have to go slow and steady without stopping in many places.

As always when actually out there it's easy to pick routes everybody can do. If it's too hard then naturally we shall go a different way.

I remember the initial trip we did to Jarrahdale last year pretty much off the bat after a play at the Kwinnana offroad area. Didn't have too much of an idea where to go but man, that trip was a blast!

Sorry guys... only just read this post... definately interested in this trip... I do have maps on the GPS of Kittys and another track that runs around the outside which is challenging also.

Kittys will not be passable for most. It has got insane and the past winter months would have made things worse. DEFAINTELY not good if you don't have lift.

The other track (still un-named) is rather scenic and has a small water crossing. It can be done in reverse in the moist for the advanced cars but impossible in reverse in the complete dry or completly wet. Forward the track should be fine but im not going to tell people with no lift kit that they will be fine.

There is also anotehr very cool hill climb that i have not yet done but it is marked on my GPS that we can play it.... it's about a 100m up climb.

I also know of a place we can camp and a good place to kick back for some food although camping there would run a risk of being fined by the ranger if we had a fire going.... other than that we can camp at Glen Eagle which is a 20 minute drive from Jarrahdale.

i beg to differ about the nessecity of a lift kit.. although its probably pretty nasty after all the rain. i did it in summer.

It seriously gets worse every year due to water corrosion. Ruts get wider and deeper.
