yes was a fun day. and some good pix there dave. mine will go up later. its hard to tell from the photo but where wackybug got stuck in the bog hole- it was very sloshy and wet- just looks like hard ground from here- not the case! haha

damage report:
Wackybug- radiator surround dents and lots of dried mud in fins.
cracks starting to appear in seam welds- needs bracing.
Flutterwgn - radius rod plate coming away from chassis. needs welding or captive nuts will start to come out.
lack of rear locker haha

no i dont think so- if youre talking about when my gbox xmember bolt fell out in the sand dunes and matatak found it- its been getting worse, until today which has now separated it from the chassis. all the captive nuts are good tho- they havent shagged out yet.

you want to cut it by 600mm then weld back together ,weld rear diff. dual hand brakes. that what i did to mine. Then repowed with EA82T.
I rather be 4wding in my Subaru buggy MY body with 600mm cut out. EA82T dual range (1.59/1 ) twin hand brakes, welded rear diff, 12.5 wide atv tyres.

Im thinking of shortening it yes but not just yet.
It's in the process of being re-powered with an EJ22 as we speak (check the other thread in the My Car section).
It's also got a welded diff waiting to be fitted.
Dunno about the dual handbrakes....matt did that and it didnt help alot
