keen for a wagon
yeah in my pic they are on. in the subis around adelaide thread theres an updated pic with front/side pics.
i went whole way around the front guard, removed the mad flaps because my wheels were rubbing them any way.
and the rear almost the same except i left the mud flap on and pulled the last little bit of the flare across and bolted it to the mud flap kind of tapered it off

Here's a prety good write up about a rear wheel and jerry can carrier with swing arms... Probabily a little too heavy for what I want but a good construction and design. It is from another subaru forum, but when it comes down to it life is all about networking

Hehehe... ditto - I'm getting up my "repoitoure" (or how ever you spell that word) for when others drop in...
Next time I'm headed to adelaide I'll let you all know when I'm there. I hope its not a rush trip this time around - we seem to always duck over for 3 days or so to do the whirl wind catch up with rellies. Last time it was for a weekend, driving through the night on friday, then leaving sunday night to get dad back to work on monday!
Crazy times!

yeah im going to try go out to pt gawler sometime after work and suss out and see if there is indeed a track that links pt gawler to middle beach....my mate just said it might not be an official offroad track...apparently there are stages where you must get out and have a suss of the sand...litttleee bit boggy...we'll see.
got my rubbber flares too! i decided id bite a bullet and go for the official flare kits which are more expensive..perhaps im crazy...but the fact it had the thick metal wire which ran through it for support...it appealed to me...apparently they can sag after some weathering(the ones without the wire)...so i dunno...i just got the kits....$140 in the end...EEK!
im thinking i'll go al the way round the rear arches...but im undecided abotu the front...people seem to remove the front mud guard and go all round although some have removed the front mud guard and havent gone around the whole front arch either...little bit puzzled! it seems my front tyres, on full lock, rub the mud guard, so much so its worn a fair bit of the mud guard off i reckon...
if i remove the front mud guard and flare it all the way round, it wouldnt rub on the new flares would it? (Shuffbag?) or if i removed it and i didnt go all the way round, like only the top half...woudnt stones flick up at car?......
any one got advice? i dont even know if it is necessasry to remove mud guard....i assume it would be if its rubbing though?
haha....i think thats enough thinking(typing) out loud(sorta)
cheers fellas, ideas would be siick
