I was just wondering if anyone has done the 4wd track that run along the beach from Robe to Beachport? I thought I would give it a try in the summer.

Yep, great drive, listen to local reports about how soft the sand is.
The dune tracks are fairly easy, some beach bits are harder, especially if soft.

send an email to hellsube @ hotmail.com, he lives at Mt Gambier and has likely driven those tracks. He also has a big fat Patrol to pull you out when you get stuck in the powder :P

Done it plenty of times - do it easy in a day

Mostly in the early days in an unlifted L - rarely got stuck.

Not quite as interesting nowadays though - the Wattle Brush Council has fenced off a lot of the dunes etc leaving a very defined track (when it ventures inland) that to be honest, is not all that interesting.

The beaches however are fantastic. Watch the shell grit - high revs, low range, very low PSI

We (the subie club) used to go there every Easter, but have not done in recent years due the intervention as listed above and the increased holiday traffic.

Goodluck anyways
