Easter Robe - Little Dip NP sand 4wd session
G'day all.
Kez and I are looking at heading over to Robe's Little Dip NP for some sand 4wd'n. I'm keen to join up with anyone else that is keen to come out for a day or two.
This is in the planning stages at the moment - I'm hoping it happens as Ruby Scoo is lifted and good to go for a trip like this. We're just sorting out other friends and family as to wether they will be attending or not. Accomodation will be an after thought I reckon. Just hope we can get some on the cheap...
Let us know if your keen. We'd probabily be rocking up on the saturday, hopefully by midday, but that's still being planned...
Cheers
Bennie

In year's gone the SA Subie club would head there every Easter, though we used to stay at Beachport as was less insane. The beach track in Robe behind the dump is like the Hume come late afternoon
If you are camping, always good spots along Lake George and the golf course boundary.
Always fun, but does get a little mad out in the dunes. I'm down the 'mount for Easter - look out for a green foz on the backtop

Thanks Sven, I'll check that out if we're going, its all hinging off accomodation I think.
Subaruby, I'll be using this trip to gather some more info from the parks crew and to do a general reckie for that future trip I've talked about with you. I'll start planning in the next few weeks after I get back
If anyone's looking at coming for a day out, meet at 9am at the (ampol?) servo and we'll head off from there. Sand flag and recovery gear should be carried. I'll have a dodgy snatch strap, hand winch, cable and hopefully a sand flag sorted before I leave, otherwise I'll have to get one in robe... My number is zero four two one one eight four zero three one
Cheers

Not Anzac long weekend - I've got a kokoda reunion to attend in coffs The dates are TBA, but they'll prob be in the september school holidays. I'll have a thread with all the details in it within the next month, all going well.pezimm wrote:Are you looking at something fir Anzac Day Long weekend?
I believe I gotta get my skid plate for sand driving...
And lets not forget the lift
Ok, so as for meeting at 9am Saturday, I've not heard a defenet yes from anyone, so this will be pushed back to 9am Sunday for 4wd'n in the sand. Reason being our day turned out longer here than expected, one member of the party is umming and arring about coming - we're in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation on that one.
I realise there may not be any takers for the sunday with it being Easter, but I'm keen to do a decent day out there crusing around - and getting stuck if there's another 4wd there to snatch with...
I hope to see someone there on the sunday, if not I'll be going it alone, not the best way to go - just have to be careful.
Cheers
