Now that Rising Sun has closed I am wondering if anyone knows of a good place to take my subby to be serviced?

I just moved to Adelaide and I'd heard good things about Rising Sun. I was planning on taking the Brumby to see if they could get to the bottom of my ongoing carb issue. This is bad news.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has any other places to recommend.

Carb issues than go to Auto Carburettor services at Marion. If this bloke can't fix it than no one can :)

Thanks for that, mate. I'm not too far from Marion so that's cool.

Why does this keep coming up??

If it is closed someone had better tell Steve and his crew to stop coming to work...

Just for info I went here and they are now called 'All Drive' or something similar. They are still Subaru specialists and still were happy to look at my Brumby (only problem is I have been advised to replace inlet manifold gaskets but that's another story).

As someone new to SA I'd still be keen to hear of any other places to go for service, parts, tools, consumables etc...

Should I start another thread or just add to this one?

Cheers

I went there for my regular service and see if they are as good as Steve was. The service was well done. They came up with a list of what else I need to get done. Not as friendly as Steve and the guys were, maybe that will change. I am also going to try out a company called B & R Automotive in Salisbury SA. I have been told good things about them from other Subbie people. I had a rough quote of around 800 for timing belt with water pump etc, Eblens quote at least 1800 plus water pump.

I went to "All drive" today to get a wheel bearing replaced, It's weird not seeing Steve behind the front desk :( The guy I spoke to this morning said he just retired, had enough maybe. Anyway they did a good enough job, charged about the same as any other place out there, plenty of Subaru's in the garage and car park of varying vintages, even another Brumby!

Hi All

Thought I'd add to this thread to keep all the info together....

I'm looking for somewhere to take my Brumby to have a noise in the steering diagnosed. I'll also probably need a flywheel skimmed at some point too. Can anyone recommend somewhere? Preferably South of the city.

Cheers
