70's Leone 2 door spotted...every day!

Post by Silverbullet » Thu Sep 11, 2014 10:46 pm

That's right, couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a white 70's Leone 2 door coupe driving towards me on the way to work the other morning. Literally have never, ever seen one on the road before and there it was in amazingly good nick too. Was even more surprised when I saw it in the same area again the next day, and the next :) I have decided I will keep the window rolled down when I drive through Croydon next, and when I see him I'll give a huge thumbs up ;)
Will it ever end!?

Good one Jonno :p And it's very hard to snap pics of a car going very fast in the opposite direction while driving...maybe I need a dash cam.

Didn't see him today :(

Well I can't believe it now, saw another 70's Leone this morning but not the white one. Bombing around an entirely different part of town was a aqua blue/green coloured sedan. Didn't realize what it was until almost too late, couldn't see if 2 door or 4 door. I think 4 door judging by the shape of the rear end.

These 70's jap cars seem to be coming into fashion or something, fully restoed etc. I've seen plenty of very early corolla sedans and wagons getting around with new paint and wheels, Honda civics, Datsun 120Y's and now 2 Leone's. Wonder if my blue wagon will be able to be in the same crowd

There was a 4 door 1600 in the colour you described listed an Gumtree last year and it was in SA... Might be the same one.
