3G or next G Matt?
i think 3G network doesn't exist in Tasmania. Next G runs parallel to GSM, so if u get GSM coverage you should be able to get Next G. I dont have any from for UHF, but ill try to get hold of one before the weekend.
So exciting;)

Good to hear Sam, it would be great if you could make it. Invite the boss maybe?

Will work something out Ian, might see you at the shop in next few days. Would you have a 1:25k map of the area in store?

There is quite a crew now!

AFAIK Next G runs 'with' CDMA, and 3g runs 'with' GSM. Coverage for NextG, if you believe such things.

I have a UHF in car, and a handheld. Can probably scatch up another handheld. Bluesteels uhf is a work of art ;)

I stand corrected Sir William.
Me got confused;) The "experts" seem to think that when the CDMA is terminated in Feb, Next G coverage will boost substantially. Who knows.. Only time will tell.

As for trip plans, will someone meet us at the Henty turn off at a desired time? I think itll be silly going down to Strahan and then back up to the dunes in my case.

Bit of a setback, Broke (not bent) a ford radius rod in beaconsfield thursday afternoon.
Fortunatly wasn't going very quick, so no major harm done.

A big thankyou to Ian, who offered to deliver a standard rod for rescue purposes late in the evening, which would have been at least a 2hr return drive. Your a legend.

The mighty beige wagon will be back in full flight shortly.

doens't look like i'll be able to make it either unfortunately. I have to move out of my house and pack ready to move to queensland all before monday, so would probably be a bit tight.

make sure you take some cool pics for me to see!

The Beige is back in action! As of lunchtime today. Close call? Never.

Looking at leaving Burnie before 9.00, ~ 2.5 hours to get there.
Will give you a ring when I get there Johnny.

Going into strahan again at about 3 to pick up a mate.

What did you do do the MQ Justin? Not keen on bringing the brumby?
Qld Sam, moving for good, or job/training related?

Will be at the entrance waiting for Ian at that time Adz, so that ties in very nicely.

So pumped. This will be epic.
