Its the Person you were afraid it was.
Professional Kangaroo shooter and generally very scary person.
We are living in fear of this person.
He has threatened me three times now, and Sascha once, good threats...proper scary ones.

Irrationality + Rage + Firearms usually gets a little action from the Boys in Blue....
But not this time.
5 phone calls to police,
two statements sworn.

End result.
NADA.
NIENTE.
ZERO ACTION.

I have had 4 hours with a barrister and his hired hand...anyone car to guess what that will cost me.
I got $3,000 for my bet.

This is FKN serious and Sascha is scared, we bailed out that night and stayed elsewhere.
We are back with our heads held high now, but who want to be dead and right?

I am so crapped off with the police response to this.
I have no enemies in the world, live a good life and even go to church with my Mum on occasion.

Why do people hate?

This guy sounds like real redneck. I would say he wouldn't follow through but none the less, his words should not be taken lightly.

Is it possible you could get his firearm licence revoked? Surely such threats are not permitted under the conditions of issue.

Not that that I advocate such action, but if you really need a hand...

We have specified NOT to remove his weapons as we think it will inflame the situation.
We are positive he would have undeclared weapons anyway, there is a fine line here.

A Cease/decist and no contact order enforcable by the law (ha) should do the job.

Next step get get his guns, call Melbourne for some HEAVY WOGS!

And that is NOT Cheap.

Agreed, If using his guns is part of his profession and you get them taken off him = he loses his job, and yea I wouldn't do it either.

Just remember to record everything he says and gestures to the appropriate people when he does them so if this becomes big in court you have an abundance of stuff against him.

Is that Groover in your avatar?
and whats a ford? I've gathered a kinda of crossing from posts in here but exactly what is it?

You have a video camera don't you, I remember watching you testing out the brumby in a video. If he starts threatening you record as much as you can. Will always help I reckon.

I know how you feel by the way - I had a run-in with a meths addict about 2 years ago. He lived diagonally opposite and turned up on the doorstep one morning yelling abuse, because he reckoned my son had stolen his car stereo (his had been stolen and he saw my son installing one in his car, therefore my son stole his = mental giant eh?). He was yelling out that he was going to kill my son, so I went out to tell him where to go and he grabbed me by the neck and pulled a hatchet out from behind his back. I pushed him down the steps, locked the door and rang the cops. Nine of them turned up, guns out, etc. They ended up telling my solicitor that they almost arrested me, because his wife "saw a scuffle but no hatchet" He beats the crap out of her and the 4 boys, so I don't blame her for lying.

It cost me $1,500 for an AVO - and he took one out on me, so plod came and took my guns away - got them back when he moved away and we dropped the AVO actions.

It isn't easy - I'd suggest polite additional contact with plod

We are still here.
Thank you all.

Groover is going well considering the situation.
He cannot sit down, and lying down completely causes him such pain it takes 20 minutes of circling to build up the courage.

He is sort of comfortable standing; I have removed the co-pilots seat from the Wonderbrumby to give him some room.

Last night we caught him asleep on his feet, standing doing these tiny slow figure 8's, swaying gently but standing.
Snoring.

He gained leather sofa privledges after that.

Things are quiet on the eastern front at the moment.

I cannot help smile just a little bit when I imagine a squadren of Brumbys decending on Cranbrook If the Defecation hit the Ventilation.

Dude,

The guy has too much free time to stew on stuff like this. A little prompting from his wife wouldn't help the situation.

I don't know what to say other than keep records, lots of pics, video set up if possible (and a video looking thing in a prominent position).

I dunno how at the moment, but something good has to come of it. Sounds a bit funny I know, but it could help with any future issues that may arise so be the big guy, make no sudden moves, and for all intents and purposes, appear to want to 'get on'.

You're a clever guy who can see beyond the immediate, versus a small minded redneck, so in the end I'm sure you guy's will come out on top.

Take care of the gang, give Groover a pat for me, and take care!

Kindest regards Mate.

Need To Vent My Anger

Post by BRUMBERTY » Tue Dec 04, 2007 2:41 pm

Alllllriighty then.

Tonight it will be a week since the incident...

Paniced 000 call
Two sworn statements to police
Follow up visit by me 5 days ago
Two return trips to Hobart for me
Court order filed.

Brings you to this afternoon.....

Another visit by me to inform the police about all of the above and find out about when he will be served the papers.........

"oh (insert blank look), I've just got back on, I haven't been up to see him yet."

A WEEK!
Impunity and self rightious behaviour for a week.
Not a word from any police.

In 24 hours (upon Expensive advice) I will be strolling into an Inspectors office in Hobart (again).

I should remove my front CV's,
Put a tea towell on my head with a nice bit of ribbon,
Get 10 or so UDL's under the belt (sorry for the stereotype there for any UDL drinkers)

AAAAAAAAAaaaaaaand drop the biggest burnout outside the copshop screaming Allah Akbah....or some such crap as I fishtail away on the shreds of tyres.

The combination of Hoon laws, Terrorism laws and a bit of good old drink driving may be the only way to get A BLOODY POLICEMAN 20kms from his $88,000 PA couch.

End VENT.

Peace.

The trick is to make sure you don't become their problem - make sure they know the other guys is their problem. Its up to you to figure out how to do that, but you need to point out his escalating bad behaviour that has now resulted in injury to an animal, but that in doing so almost cost human life, etc.

I respectfully suggested he speak to the previous (long standing) seargent and get some background.

The whole of Swansea is talking about this, I am humbled by the response of the townsfolk.
Groover has no enemies either.

I have a list of phone numbers in speed dial.

Peace.

You have come this far on the right side of the law, which is a commendable effort, it would be good to stay there. But if you do go down that road I'm with you all the way. Unfortunatly bureaucracy is slow.

Give the police more reason to help you, even though he is in the wrong this alone will not get them into a higher gear.
It appears your report is just more paperwork and real work to them at this stage.
Speak in terms of what the police want, (swift resolution, crayfish, etc) I know you can do it. Pull out all the stops.

If you want attention, just drive around without number plates.
Works a treat, just ask Ben. :D
