End of year trip?
You guys that work are letting the team down
Seriously though, looks like two events:
Ben Lomond/Peron dunes on the 15/16
Jefferies/Southport on the 22nd/23rd
So who is avaliable in between? Potentially Fatz, Suby Roo, and Myself?
The rest of you, Pick a weekend (or both) and be there!
I am keen for both, can gladly spend a few days at Freycinet in between.

My gearbox and lsd prolly wont arrive before the trip and if it does i prolly wont have time to fit it.
But thats ok, my current gearbox works (5th gear sometimes), need to do a front wheel bearing, and the clutch is fairly average. but other than that, not too bad.
not sure when i'll be able to join in. Boss said i could be coming home anywhere between the 15th and the 21st. see how we go.

I'm in for both weekends, have to fix a few things on the wagon but should all be sweet in time.
As previously proposed by Ian, for the Ben Lomond section we can either go in either direction. So do we want to meet in Launceston or at Ben Lomond and go north --> south to Rossarden, then take the road to St Helens? (this is probably easiest)
On the map there looks to be some gravel roads snaking east from Ben Lomond to St Helen's, so it might be possible to go south --> north and take some backroads to the Peron Dunes. This might be better Mr Plod wise for a certain l series wagon. Anyone know if we can get through this way?
Discuss. ^^^ Personally I'm keen to gamble on the back roads, but time isn't a big issue for me at that point.
Attendence from Hobart seems like just Bluesteel and myself.
Head up friday night chief?

Hey guys. Not sure if i can make the Jeffries / Southport trip now because ive had a mountain biking accident and now i cant see out of my left eye which means i cant drive. It may get better by then but its still pretty bashed up.
'91 Legacy GT wagon, 2.35 turbo, td05-20g, 05sti spec c dccd 6 speed, 3 inch, front mount, power fc
the southern half of the trip looks a little less promising than the northern half...
northern effort
fri arvo... fatz lost a wheel when getting stuff ready to head off
Fri Evening... I snapped a torsion bar heading out the driveway
Sat... Sir will busted reverse on the wagon
Sun... Sir Will busted a selector and cant get any gears in the RX
everyone seems a bit busy this weekend for another trip too, so i guess it will have to be postponed till after new years sometime
unless someone else has some good ideas!
