Semi automatic choke in L series/ea82

Post by Suby Scooby Doo » Mon Jul 19, 2010 12:14 pm

Gday All,

I have an 88 touring wagon which has the semi auto choke setup, it is sposed to stay on until it gets warm enough and then release...
However mine doesnt stay on at all...
I just picked up the wagon about 3 weeks ago and has never worked, but I have not been able to find any diagrams or information on this setup...
Has anyone out there had a similar drama with this type of choke...
Does anyone know the operation of this choke....

Cheers:confused:

Are you pumping the accelerator several times before starting the car? Mine will still sometimes start if I forget and either doesn't choke or stalls.
Past rides-
1989 Brumby

Current ride-
MY06 Liberty 2.5i Sedan
